CHC30208 Certificate III in Aged Care Work -Begins March 23rd,2010
Prerequisite: Current employment in an aged care facility.
Maximum time to complete course: 6 months. Duration: 20 weeks full-time.
This qualification is suitable for those wanting to work as an Assistant In Nursing (AIN) or a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) in residential aged care facilities,group homes or private homes. You will develop skills to enable you to assist clients/residents with daily care routines and activities related to an individualised plan. This qualification will enable you to formally utlise your skills and experience in the field and open up more employment and further study opportunities creating pathways for your professional development. This course will be conducted over a 20-week period and includes 10 weeks of work-based practicum/learning. Classes will be held Weeks 1-5 and Weeks 11-20.Class times will be Mondays/Tuesdays and Fridays from 9 am to 2.30 pm.
