CHC50908 Diploma of Children's Services (Early childhood education and care)

Prerequisite: CHC30708 Certificate III in Children's Services

Nationally Recognised Training This qualification is suitable for those who hold the Certificate III in Children's Services and/or who are already employed in the industry and who are wanting to expand their knowledge,skills and employment opportunities. Successful completion of the Diploma qualification allows graduates to be eligible to work as Directors and/or Supervisors in a children's service environment.

The qualification will be delivered in flexible-mode over a 48-week period and wil include both classroom-based and work-based training. A minimum of 400 hours work-based practicum/learning must be successfully completed in order for a studen to be elgible for the full qualification. The work-based learning component will have to be completed with all ages from 0-12 years.

Class times are Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9.00 am - 2.30 pm

  • CHCFC506A — Foster children's language and communication development
  • CHCIC501A— Manage children's services workplace practice to address regulations and quality assurance 
  • CHCIC510A— Establish and implement plans for developing cooperative behaviour 
  • CHCIC512A — Plan and implement inclusion of children with additional needs 
  • CHCPR502D — Organise experiences to facilitate and enhance children's development 
  • CHCPR509A— Gather, interpret and use information about children 
  • CHCPR510A— Design. implement and evaluate programs and care routines for children
  • CHCRF511A — Work in partnership with families to provide appropriate care for children

Important things to know: All Full Certificate Qualifications require the applicant to undergo a VET English Test and an interview prior to enrolling.

This qualification can be payed in installments by direct debit. The first installment is to be payed upon enrolment. Debit cards are not accepted.Please contact the College for details.
