Ukulele Workshop

The ukulele is one of the most versatile string instruments. This one-day workshop will introduce you to this instrument by presenting you with a brief historical overview and then guiding you through the various types and sounds of ukulele, pointing out all of its parts and how to tune your instrument. Your tutor will demonstrate holding and playing positions as well as teach you some of the basic fingering techniques, chords and strums. Song sheets especially written for the ukulele will also be shown and your experienced tutor will then provide you with some information on the world of the ukulele (artists, events, recorded music, websites and club activities).

This course will demonstrate how the ukulele can open up a whole lot of fun and entertainment for you. Bring along your own ukulele or purchase one from the tutor on the day for $25.
