WORK WITH US & RELEVANT VERIFICATION OF QUALIFICATIONS POLICY.
Bankstown Community College welcomes all tutors to propose new courses.
We are always looking for new courses to be taught at the College and invite tutors to contact us in order to offer their professional knowledge and expertise and teach with us. If you wish to make a Course Proposal, please email us at info@bankstowncc.com.au. Please read the following information regarding Course Proposals to the Bankstown Community College so you may better understand our requirements:
Upon forwarding a proposal:
- Please state if you wish to propose an Accredited Course or a Non-accredited Course.
- Please include a current resume outlining your profile, relevant studies, qualifications and experience [if applicable].Please note that the College Policy on Verification of Formal Qualifications is for the applicant to bring along to an interview the originals of all qualifications. Our Principal will cite these and make copies. If an applicant is offered employment but is unable to show his/her original testamurs, he/she must undertake a Verification of Qualifications with his/her issuing institution. The College will not fund these requests.It remains the responsibility of the applicant. In addition, iIf you are offered employment, you need to supply the Principal with two referees. These referees will need to be contacted by the Principal before any employment offer is made. If the referees cannot be contacted any offer of employment made to you will be rescinded.
- Please include a guideline of the proposed course stating:
- Length of course
- Any materials or special arrangements which might be necessary for the indicated course
- A brief description of each class
- A brief description of the outcome of each class
- Any additional information you believe might be relevant to your proposal
Once your proposal is received the College will contact you in order to inform you of its decision, and if necessary, arrange a personal interview.
TEACHERS OF TESOL/ENGLISH LANGUAGE COURSES
Please note that applicants wishing to teach on the College's accredited TESOL courses must meet minimum qualifications requirements. These are set by the relevant accreditation bodies and relevant stakeholders such as our licensing partners and NEAS.
For consideration all applicants must have:
*A degree plus teaching qualification (a teaching qualification such as a Diploma of Education or Bachelor of Education with a method in ESL/TESOL)
*A postgraduate TESOL qualification
*Certificate IV in Training & Assessment TAE40110
* Experience in delivering the CSWE curriculum
If you do not meet the above criteria your application will not be considered and the College will not enter into further correspondence.
